Earlier this year, I was given a business opportunity that would raise my levels several folds. Immediately, all my insecurities came to the forefront, I am not qualified, how will I explain my lack of experience in certain areas, my client list is not big enough for this new opportunity. I hope they don’t have to meet me in person because I have gained a few pounds since Christmas; the list goes on and on.
Minutes before the scheduled consultation call regarding the opportunity, I started drafting an email stating why I couldn’t be on the call. The idea of qualifying for such an opportunity regardless of my abilities took me weeks to embrace. Thank God, I never gave into my feeling and mind chatter.
As we journey through our purpose driven life, we have a tendency to sabotage ourselves due to our past experiences. It’s not unusual to judge ourselves more harshly than the outside world. I just wanted to remind you today, you have greatness within you, you were designed to dominate and take territory in the area of your calling.
There is an opposition working against your mind, body and soul. He roams around like a roaring lion waiting for whom to devour. Be attentive so he may not devour you.
When great opportunities are presented to you, sometimes you may not qualify literally. But learn to live a life filled with expectation of favor and grace. Favor isn’t fair or logical. Favor raised Joseph from a prisoner to a minister of Egypt overnight. Talk about a radical transformation!
If good things happen to people, why not you? Allow yourself to expect and receive the favor that is coming to you. For every promotion in life, there comes responsibility. Get ready, for your time is now.
